How long does it take to complete?

You can work as fast or as slow as you'd like with an active enrollment. To give you an idea, we estimate about 12 months to complete all of the modules, build the projects, and gain the skills in robotics.

Is this for beginners with zero experience?

Yes! You do not need any previous coding or robotics experience to join the course. We actually prefer that you don't have experience because some bad habits are hard to "unlearn" and as a beginner we want to set you up for long term success with the fundamental skills.

When does the course start?

How about right now? You'll get instant access once you enroll.

Is this a live class?

No, all of the modules are self-study and online. You'll have access to video training, project walk-throughs, and project demos. We've incorporated Smart Release into the Online Robotics Class, which means new modules become available as you learn. That way you stay on target and can make progress!

Do I earn a certification?

Yes! Upon successful completion of each class, you'll receive the corresponding Online Robotics Class Certificate that you can add to your resume, LinkedIn, or portfolio.

What else do I need to take this class?

You'll need a computer with Internet Access. The Online Robotics Class uses Arduino microcontrollers for prototyping. If you already have electronic components (breadboard, resistors, LEDs, etc), you can Bring Your Own or Use our Included Bill of Materials to Buy the Parts. To make it easy for beginners, we've put together the Official Kit of Learn Robotics, which has everything you need for the classes. 

Do I need to know how to code first?

No! We will teach you how to code in the certification, so no experience is required.

How old do I have to be?

Any age! If you're a beginner and want to get into robotics, we can help! Generally speaking, we recommend 13 years and up for self-study or under 13 with adult supervision.

What is the Online Robotics Class?

This is a self-paced, online course designed to be your ticket from BEGINNER to "Junior Roboticist". 

After completing this, you'll be well on your way to inventing, engineering, and advancing with code, electronics, and robots.
